Self-Referrals
There are some services that do not require a GP referral. You can access these directly as per the information below.
Sexual Health
iCash offers information, advice, screening and treatment for sexual health, such as sexually transmitted infections (STI's), pregnancy and termination advice, and onward referral to antenatal and termination services. Anyone can self refer to the service, regardless of age or gender, by following this link; iCash
Mental Health
Are you feeling; low, stressed, anxious, worried or burnt-out? The Psychological Wellbeing Service (IAPT) offers treatments across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough.
If you would like support you may refer your self directly to the service via the internet at: http://www.cpft.nhs.uk/ or Telephone: 0300 300 0055.
Physiotherapy
Dynamic Health is a telephone self-referral service providing early advice and management for adults with back/neck/joint problems or following injuries. You do not need a GP referral to access this service. Please call 0300 555 0123 to speak to a member of the team and book an appointment. For more information please visit the Dynamic Health website

Health Trainer
Lifestyle Service – Healthy You
Healthy You service sees patients in the surgery for a range of support services. They do NHS Health Checks, which you will be invited for when you are eligable to have this check. However, you can contact us and we can see if we can get you booked in by sending us a message on our website here.
Role of the Health Trainer
Health Trainers are not medically trained, but are available to any patients over the age of 16, to work with them on a one-to-one or group basis to:
- Assess lifestyle and well being
- Set goals and agree action plans
- Provide individual support focusing on behaviour change
- The Health Trainer can work with you on the following areas:
- Giving up smoking
- Reducing alcohol intake
- Increasing Physical activity
- Improving diet.
Accessing the Service
If you are:
- Aged 16 or over
- A registered patient at Nuffield Road Medical Centre
- Contemplating or making lifestyle changes
