Appointments
Our Appointments
We offer telephone, video, face to face and online consultations. In line with NHS England guidance all of our appointments are telephone or online first, which can be converted to either a video or face to face consultation if you and the clinician agree it is the best way to help you.
Some things which are best suited to face to face appointments, such as nursing procedures, are directly bookable as face to face appointments.

Home Visits
Whilst we encourage our patients to come to the surgery, where we have the proper equipment and facilities available, we do appreciate this is not always possible. In this respect, if you do need a home visit, you can help us by calling reception before 11.30am.
You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. Your GP will triage your request and only arrange to visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed. Please bear this in mind and be prepared to provide suitable details to enable the doctor to schedule house calls. Most of our visits are carried out by our Emergency Care Practioner and your GP will triage if this appropriate for you.
You can also be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.

Teaching Practice
We are a teaching practice for doctors training to be general practitioners, known as GP Registrars. More junior doctors, known as foundation year doctors also work in the practice. These are qualified doctors at the beginning of their career and work under the close supervision of one of the senior doctors.
The practice is involved in teaching medical students, usually in small groups.
The receptionist will inform you if your doctor is seeing patients with a student in attendance. If you do not wish to see a medical student please inform reception. Declining to see the medical student will not alter your care in any way.
